About Us
Papadmalji’s journey began in 2012 with the establishment of Vishal Namkeen Bhandar in Bikaner, founded by Mr. Jai Agarwal to produce and sell handmade papads using traditional methods and a focus on quality. As the business expanded with new flavours and offerings, it laid the foundation for Papadmalji Agro Foods Limited, created to honour the cultural significance of papad and bring this tradition to households across India. The brand “Papadmalji” was registered in 2017, and the Company was formally incorporated the same year. In 2018, the original proprietorship business was acquired through a Business Transfer Agreement, consolidating all assets and operations. The Company was later converted into a Public Limited Company in January 2025.
Today, Papadmalji operates through two manufacturing units in Bikaner, combining the traditional Batara–Batari hand-rolling model with machine-based production for scalability and hygiene. With a strong distribution network and products marketed under the brands “Zhakaas”, “Vishal”, “Rozana”, “Diamond” and “Papadmalji”, the Company reaches consumers across India through wholesalers, modern trade, quick commerce, and its own D2C platform, with exports to the Middle East. As of June 30, 2025, Papadmalji products are sold in 20 states and 2 Union Territories. Led by Promoters Mr. Jai Agarwal and Mrs. Prem Lata Agarwal, and supported since 2018 by investment from the SEBI-registered India Customer Insight Fund, the Company continues to strengthen its governance, operations, and brand presence while staying rooted in authenticity, quality, and tradition.

Women Empowerment
The manufacturing of hand-made papads is carried out through a network of contractors, known as "Bataras", who supervise a large, skilled workforce of women workers, referred to as "Bataris." These women are well trained in the traditional art of hand-rolling papads and work from their own homes. This home-based employment.

Jai Agarwal

He is a commerce graduate from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer. He has an experience of more than 13 years in the food processing industry specializing in papad, namkeen and Indian ethnic snacks. He has been associated with our Company since December 19, 2017. He oversees key functions such as, business development, sales and marketing and financial planning.
Prem Lata Agarwal
Wholetime Director (DIN: 08009243)
She holds a Master’s degree in Arts (Sociology), from the University of Bikaner, Bikaner. She has an experience of about 12 years in managing food processing industry with focus on papad and Indian ethnic snacks. She has been associated with our Company since December 19, 2017. Presently, she heads Human Resource Department of the Company and plays a vital role in managing the resources of the group effectively, overseeing all HR functions such as talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, training, and performance management, ensuring legal compliance in the organisation.

She has been promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer with effect from May 05, 2025.

She is a commerce graduate from University of Rajasthan and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. She holds an experience of about 8 years of experience in secretarial and compliance matters. She is associated with our Company from May 16, 2022 in the capacity of Company Secretary. She has been promoted to the position of Company Secretary and Compliance Officer with effect from May 05, 2025. Previously, she was associated with Rajesh Motors Motocorp Private Limited and Apeksha Group.
